A Tribute to The Glocal Journal: Aanvi Kamdar

Aanvi-words fall short to describe her. She was a colourful and adventurous spirit marked by means of ambition, interest and passion for exploration. A girl of many abilities, Aanvi excelled in anything she pursued.

Becoming a Chartered Accountant isn't every person’s cup of tea but Aanvi managed to attain this feat while excelling in running a successful blog. She previously worked at the prestigious Deloitte wherein she showcased her analytical talents. Her real passion lay in storytelling. As a travel blogger, she truly stimulated her target audience by means of sharing valuable reviews and insights often stepping out of her comfort zone. Her vibrant descriptions and lovely pictures transported readers to far-flung corners of the globe, igniting wanderlust in infinite hearts.

Tragically, she passed away doing what became she cherished the most: Exploring. She was hiking close to Maharashtra’s Raigad District where her leg slipped and she plunged into a 350-foot fall resulting in a devastating accident. Despite the efforts of rescue groups and medical professionals, Aanvi succumbed to her injuries. This can happen to anybody and everybody. It's a matter of luck. As we know, Aanvi was the most conscious and vigilant traveller of all times. It's a disgrace that media houses, for a few clicks and visits, are sensationalising the news as "This Travel Blogger Passed Away While Making Reels". This is far from the truth.

Aanvi Kamdar leaves behind a legacy of braveness, creativity, and an insatiable curiosity about the unexplored. Aanvi's posts will preserve to encourage travellers and dreamers, making sure that her spirit lives on via the adventures of others.

To her circle of relatives, friends and fans, Aanvi would be remembered as a shiny light – a young woman who dared to dream large and encouraged others to do the same. Her journey may have ended too soon, but the trails she blazed and the lives she touched will always remain.

This is also a humble request to all of the trekkers to be cautious while trekking in the rainy season. Take help of the right trekking tours; carry all the safety gears and most of all if your gut tells you something is wrong; then it is wrong.

Rest in peace, you light.

Your adventures have just just began!
