Karnataka Labourer Gifts 11 Cycles to Students Who Used to Walk Miles to Reach School

In a remarkable act of generosity, Anjineya Yadav, a daily wage labourer from Malkandinni village in Raichur district, Karnataka, has touched hearts by gifting 11 bicycles to underprivileged students. This selfless deed has brought attention to the challenges faced by rural students in accessing education.

Yadav was moved by the plight of young students from grades one to five who had to walk 3-4 kilometers daily to reach their school. Determined to make a difference, he began saving small amounts from his meager earnings. Over time, he managed to accumulate Rs 40,000 - a significant sum for a daily wage worker.

With this hard-earned money, Yadav purchased 11 bicycles in Devadurga town and distributed them to the students in his village. His act has significantly eased the commute for these children, potentially improving their school attendance and overall educational experience.

Yadav's motivation stemmed from his awareness of the broader issue of educational access in rural areas. He highlighted that millions of children across the state are deprived of education due to lack of transportation facilities.

This inspiring story, reported by ETV Bharat, serves as a powerful reminder of the impact individual actions can have on a community. Yadav's sacrifice and foresight demonstrate how local initiatives can address systemic challenges in education, setting an example for others to follow.
